Hi, my name is Johnny Carter. This is a collection of my oil painting and charcoal drawings featuring beautiful portraits in a full range of styles. There is nothing more challenging and interesting than a portraiture painting of the human face.
Oil painting portraits is one of my passions in life; the other one is helping young people accomplish their goals and dreams. I started drawing when I was five years old. If you would like an oil portrait of a loved one, a friend, or a beloved pet that you will surely treasure and appreciate for a lifetime, I am currently accepting commissions.

For over 40 years, Dr. Carter has been working to change lives for our young people and families. Hundreds, probably thousands of kids and their parents have been helped by his caring service. Now, Dr. Carter is focusing his talents and passion on a new outreach — helping our senior citizens by assisting them in developing their skills in the area of drawing and painting, which will help them:
- Develop a great sense of well being
- Increase their creativity
- Enhance their cognitive abilities
In conjunction with Vision International, Dr. Carter can teach up to 30 students at a time in a group setting to learn beginning to advanced drawing and painting skills, while doing so in a therapeutic environment.
Dr. Carter has been a leading portrait artist for many years, and one of the foremost African American artist of our generation. Some of his unique art can be seen in the pictures below. Because of my special friendship with Dr. Carter, and as an alumnus of Vision International University, Dr. Carter has agreed to offer his considerable talent for a fraction of the normal cost of a professional portrait such as this, with a sizeable percentage of the proceeds for each painting will go to the VITEN/Vision International accreditation fund.
